Warrior Exercises, in Tibetan,
lüjong—literally, "body training"—is a sequence of movements developed by Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, drawing from the tradition of yogic exercises of India and Tibet. With their focus on developing mental awareness and physical well-being, they are an excellent means to bring the mindfulness experienced on the meditation cushion into the activity of daily life.
This video is intended to supplement lüjong for students who have already received instruction from a qualified teacher. Demonstrated by senior students of Khenpo Rinpoche. Filmed at Karme Chöling, Vermont, August 2003.
A great yogic master of the Kagyü school of Tibetan Buddhism, Khenpo
Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche teaches extensively in North America and
Europe. Noted for his humour, penetrating insight, and propensity to
burst into yogic song, the Khenpo has won the hearts of many Buddhist
practitioners.
