We are pleased to offer this photo of a stained glass window of Shiwa Okar by artist Randy Hester. The inspiration for it arose as Randy was practicing in the upper barn shrine room at Dorje Denma Ling practice center in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. At the time, the windows were covered so that thangkas could be hung. Randy saw a perfect opportunity to have an illuminated image of Shiwa Okar because the window already existed in the barn and simply needed to be uncovered. Through the patronage of DDL, Randy spent six months creating this stained glass window--as well as a window depicting the Rigden King. It now hangs above the shrine in the upper barn shrine room at DDL.

According to the artist, "The first thing that came was the horse. I remembered the Druk Sakyong and Lady Diana arriving on horseback at Midsummer's day. I wanted the horse to be leaping and dynamic. I thought it was a wonderful opportunity to have illuminated front and self visualizations together."
